Young Pioneers

The Chinese Young Pioneers is the mass organization of Chinese children. It was founded by the Communist Party of China in 1950 and run by the Communist Youth League. It recruits all children between 7 and 14. All elementary school children are eligible to apply for the Chinese Young Pioneers. There are more than 130 million young pioneers in China.

The tasks of the Young Pioneers are to unite and educate the children to love the motherland, the people, labor, and science and take good care of public property; to work hard, build up their body, develop their capacity and make contributions to the modernization of our country.

Zhengzhou Municipal Committee on the Work of Children’s Affairs organizes various activities for the young volunteers of the city.
